Kilcoo Men’s Shed: community and connection

The Kilcoo Men’s Shed is more than just a workshop – it’s a vibrant hub of camaraderie, creativity, and community regeneration. Officially launched during its inaugural open day in August 2025, the shed has in fact been active at Kilcoo House since February 2024, during which time extensive renovations and fit out were carried out.

What happens at the shed?

• Hands-on projects: members, affectionately known as “shedders,” engage in woodworking, repairs and creative builds
• Social connection: the shed provides a welcoming space for men to share skills, stories and support
• Community events: open days and workshops invite the wider community to participate and learn

New members are always welcome and can drop in anytime to see the premises. A good time to call is on a Wednesday evening when we have our regular weekly social gathering to catch up with other members and on upcoming events.
